‘Pet Man’ to be screened at Cinema Planeta Int’l filmfest in Mexico

Iran animation ‘Pet Man’ has been scheduled to be screened at the 10th edition of Cinema Planeta Film Festival in Mexico.

Directed by Marziyeh Abrar-Paydar, The animation is to attend the competition section of the Mexican film event.

‘Pet Man’ tells the story of a pet shop owner who is sleeping in the shop. He sees himself in a scary cage with other animals. Trying to break the cage, he faces a barrier every time.

The animation has so far taken part at a number of international events, including the 40th Festival international du Court Metrage in France, the 21st Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival in South Korea and the 2017 edition of the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival in Austria.

‘Pet Man’ was nominated for an award at the 10th edition of the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival in 2017.

The 10th edition of the Cinema Planeta Film Festival is slated for 24-29 April 2018.
